RORC Cowes Dinard St Malo 12th July 2019
Crossing the channel passing West of the Channel Islands into St Malo has got to be a highlight of the season, if we don’t get much of a chance to enjoy it during the race – we will on the way back! There will be strong competition this year, with many boats using the event as a qualifier for Fastnet. St Malo is famous for it’s oyster restaurants, and the crew of Playing Around is certain to eat and drink well after the race…
The race crews arrive just before Bastille day on the 14th July – elated RORC racers and the celebrating French – what a combination!
Why sail with First Offshore Racing?
We exist to enable keen weekend sailors to get offshore, we run training weekends and compete in RORC Offshore Races.
You will be completely involved in the running of the boat, if nav and tactics are your thing, we will work together – if it’s sail trim or helming, we will show you have to get the best out of our fully optimised race boat. We build a tightly knit team through the season. Our aim? To sail really well, and to have massive fun whilst we do.
All we ask is decent fitness and a minimum of Competent Crew experience – we will guide you all the way.
For the more experienced, we focus on race strategy, weather routing and fine tuning our boat trim.
