Description

Compete in RORC De Guingand Bowl on an iconic yacht, the Volvo Open 70 (2nd Gen) "Kraken" (formerly Telefonica Black)

No matter if you are a beginner or a hardy ocean racer there is always a place on board for you.

Meeting at Kraken's home port, Gunwharf Quays before traveling to race start line is off the Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes.

This is a highly technical race and involves high level race strategy. This is one of the RoRC's shorter races, which makes it ideal for everyone limited on time but looking to stretch themselves. The race normally takes 24-36hrs and achieves between 110 and 160nms.

As we start the race, from the Royal Yacht Squadron, we will be passing key navigational landmarks before crossing the finish line in the Solent.

We will meet Friday evening at Krakens home port of Gunwharf Quays between 18:00 - 19:00 for race preparation meet fellow crew members.
