Classic Channel Regatta
Dartmouth - St. Peter Port - Paimpol
Classic Channel Regatta – a unique week long international event with its own distinctive and varied blend of racing round the cans at Dartmouth, passage racing across the Channel, and racing round an island in Brittany – all with a lively and informal programme ashore which brings together a wonderful gathering of boats and crews.
It is biennial and the next one in 2019 – from June 29th to July 6th – will again start in Dartmouth with two days of racing in Start Bay before racing to St Peter Port in Guernsey and then on to Paimpol in Brittany where there will be a race around the Île de Brêhat and the now legendary welcome and hospitality in Paimpol.
The regatta calls at three of the finest ports in the western English Channel, each providing a beautiful backdrop with its own West Country, Channel Islands or Breton ambiance. The atmosphere in port is strictly informal, bringing together a splendid collection of classic yachts and their crews from Britain, France, Belgium, Holland and further afield.
